Published in 2017, Volume One [ISBN 978-0-9963785-2-9] begins the story as told in the voice of Cam, a feisty and beautiful female cardinal living year–round in a New York City urban garden.  Cam introduces readers to her family (her husband, Mac; their children — Frannie, Vincenzo, Pica–John, and Peanut), to her bird friends (the house finches and mourning doves), and to the joys found in an urban garden (kiwi vines, strawflowers, black–oil sunflower seeds, and more).

Volume Two [ISBN 978-0-9963785-3-6], debuting Spring 2018, picks up the story where Volume One ended, with the family vacation to the sea shore and returning to find major changes in their beloved garden.  Here, Cam relates how structural renovations and two major weather storms impact the urban garden ecosystem she calls home and how those changes affect both the plantings that give it life and the birds who visit it.

Volume Three, in which spring and summer return to the garden, is targeted for publication Fall 2018.
